Guangzhou-based photographer Hui Choi practices contemplative photography, striving to reach the deeper layer of understanding the person’s existence and his own.

Using mainly 8×10 large format camera, Choi in his photographic practice reveals the state of the individual and the uniqueness and diversity of society. In the Invisible series the coming back element of tears resonates the true self of the photographer, which he finds within portrayed people. As Choi says, the emotional information contained in it is an echo to observe the close relationship between each other.
